Buying a 2005 Yamaha 225 HPDI; Info Please

Guys looking into buying a used 2005 Yamaha VZ225 TLRD HPDI, serial number 60Y-L-1001830. The motor is on a Champion 21 SX. Motor has been serviced by C & O Marine in White Bluff, Tennessee. Have checked service documents on motor and it has 29 hours on it. The man who bought it just did not go out in it, apparently.
Are there any drawbacks to this motor? Anything that I should be looking for? I have read gas mileage may not be the greatest, but I am used to that with my current boat with a 175 Fast Stike. How about longevity of the HPDI. Really guys, I just don't want to make a mistake. The engine looks exactly like a 25 hour engine (Brand New). Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

I've heard nothing but good things about them. It's an HPDI which will help the gas mileage substantially. I wish mine was the HPDI series but love mine anyway.

Cant go wrong with the HPDI....and especially if C&O has did the maint. on it. Just insure you have a 10 micron fuel/water seperator filter mounted in the boat. The fuel consumption will be alot better than your Fast Strike, if you cruise around at 4000-4500 rpms, it should be great. Have Todd at C&O sell you an extended 3 year warranty and run that baby like you stole it!
