I have a 2008 200 HPDI that is just recently past the breakin period. I was running wot at 24 psi. The last two times I've taken it out it is only at 17 psi at WOT. It also seems that I have lost about 5 mph and a little on the rpms as well. The water pressure at 4000 rpms is only around 11 psi. Took it the dealer and he said he couldn't find anything wrong. Do these numbers sound out of whack and is it normal for the water pressure to drop without making any changes.
The warmer the water, the less water pressure you get. I think it has something to do with how the thermostats open... Keep an eye on it. If it gets hot, the alarm will sound..
Loosing 5 mph seems like alot, But between adding weight to the boat and hot humid temps will slow it down some.

Yeah I think I'm ok. Talked to a buddy of mine today and he was running the same psi this morning. Same boat. I think the speed loss is due to the fact that my partners tackle box weighs the same as a third adult and the boat had excess water weight due to the monsoon we fish through for 4 hours. Should be good to go. Thanks
As long as you dont go below 11 PSI at WOT you should be OK. I also noticed a WP drop on my 250 as the temps have warmed up.
