    still not peeing

    92 200 pro-v.....

I changed the impellar and poppit valve to the new style.....started it up and still wont pump, I let it run for a little longer and still nuthin. I pulled the trermostats and they were opened up all the way.....where should I go next. could it be vapor locked? Ive got it running in a drum full of water. used to start peeing as soon as it fired off. Im lost

Your pee hose may be pluged. Try pulling it off and making sure it is clean.
I would then pull the t-stats and just loosely put he houseing back on to see if you are getting water to the stats.
You may have a bad impeller or base gasket. I have seen them bad right out the box. Just make sure you are not pumping before getting another pump.

I have a 92 150 pro v sometimes woith the hose it wont prime unless i put pressure on the ear muffs to force water in then it will pee, in the water there is never a problem. just with the hose. Sometimes i even get the overheat horn on the hose but never when its in the water

Do you have a water pressure guage? Is it reading?
Take an air hose while it is running and push air back through the "pee hole", this will unlodge any obstruction that could be there.

I pulled the lower unit back off and found that I forgot to put the rubber grommet in the tube....though that was my problem....I was wrong, I put the water hose to the tube to see if I had a blockage smowhere and water came out the pisser, I put the lower unit back on and tried it again, still not pumping.

Make sure you didn't forget about the gasket or damage it while reinstalling!

I talked to a fella at HydroTech today, and Im gonna get another pump and install it and then see what happens. He said I had checked everything he wouldve checked and it still sounded like my problem was in the pump.....bad thing is its gonna take a week to get the new pump here

Are you sure you put the impeller in right? They are directional and if installed upside down they might not discharge water with just using the hose pressure.

If it was me, before I ordered more parts I'd get to a boat ramp and back it down in the water and fire it up and see what happens. I know you mentioned you are testing with a drum of water your OB is sitting in but I think I'd try that before doing anything else. Like previous poster said, unless you put the impeller in upside down or did not rotate the shaft clockwise when putting the impeller inside the housing? My 2 cents!
