Fishin story time

I had the BEST spring time bite I have EVER had yesterday!

I was goign to go to another lake out of NE but was unable to afford the extra gas & didnt have the $ for my permit yet so....I went to a lake thats about 40 miutes away from my house in NE Lincoln called Walnut Creek.

Anyway..............got up there to launch at 0700......after B/Sing with 2 oldr guys about morning bite I went to the NW side of lake.....usually the warmest section to start off with......but it wasnt just warm...it was HOT. after pitching a jig to 2 spots & pulling weeds back on both casts my insticts kicked in....I decided this was a great area to throw a Lipless........man I love it when things go just right........wind was blowing from the SW at 10-20 mph......kicking some nice waves into the area......sitting in 51-52deg water in 12-15ft or so.....casting a lipless into 2-4' of water & burnin it over weeds.....then slow retreive for fall & when I feel weeds again start crankign the heck out of it..........GOD I LOVE IT WHEN THINGS WORK RIGHT.........I boated 25 fish in 4 hours I did throw a jerkbait & caught 5 on that but 20+ of them were ALL on lipless in that one area.....I lost count after 20 but I am being respectful to myself to say around 25.....It could have been more than that but I was having too much fun to really give a crap

I will admit that this was the BEST early spring nite I have ever had.......and yet was teh BEST lipless btie I have ever had too

Had several 2.5-3 lbers & a nice 19" bass that was 4lbs on the scale.....of coarse I didnt take my camera with me.....wish I would have now

Good deal! Never been there. Went up to Fremont to chase muskies. No fish, but it was great to get out.

Nicely done Ryan...i didnt do that well but i did manage a nice one...it was fun to get out with my dog kaymen

Yeah I know I debated whether to take it or not too.......maybe it was for the best because it could have been a camera curse

I too had the best bite of the year so far, caught 15-20 LM on Saturday. Not much size but still fun. All caught on a spinnerbait and finesse worm.
