do not try this at home

I laid tile all weekend and when i was finished grouting the gaps, i decided to run some of the excess grout into the tub drain, but i ran plenty of water through it...well, you know the rest of the story I had to have a plumber come over today and at 80.00 an hour...I learned a valuable lesson Dont put grout in the tub drain

it never hardened at all, it was just sand in the pipes...the plumber said people do it all the time and most of the time you can wash enough water through it to make it work out okay...not this time...i have a nice white cover plate in my ceiling now in the basement
