Extended Warranty

I purchased a used 2004 boat with a 150 HPDI last summer. Just got my boat out of winter storage and stopped by my local Yamaha dealer and asked him to check when my two year warranty was up. I figure since my motor is a 2004 i still had this year on my warranty left. Well he looked it up in the computer and the boat was purchased in September 03 and that's when the warranty starts. Dealer tells me I can extended warranty since it expired last September. Just want to know if anyone knew of any options on purchasing an extended warranty?

If the original Yam. warranty is expired the ONLY choice you have is purchase an extended warranty thru FPC or such. BUT when they do warranty work, IT IS WITH REMAN'D PARTS. Worth it in the long run, especially if you blow a powerhead.
