First buck with a bow!!

Went out saturday morning and shot my first buck with a bow. I have killed several bucks with a rifle but never with a bow and a few does with a bow. It feels good to finally put some antlers on the ground with the Mathews!! He isnt a huge deer, but I am proud of him being that it was a bow kill.

Well, I shot him at 9:30 and was holding him by 10:00. Those G5 broadheads do a number on deer. Its the second deer I have killed with a G5 broadhead and I didnt have to track either one.

As far as the cookout, you tell me. Its the second deer Ive killed this year so I have more than enough meat.

Thanks Travis, right you are!! In breckinridge county the last day of gun season was november 22, so orange was not required. It was changed a couple years ago from a 3 weekend season to a 2 weekend season. The weekend before this picture, you would have seen with the same orange hat and a nice big orange vest.

The first one is the tough one to get! Yeah, right! They are still hard to get! Nice job, lifting all those weights must have helped you get that Mathews back, ha, ha.

Thats right!! Without Daniels help in the gym, I would have never been able to pull that bow back, or drag the deer up that dang hill for that matter!!
