Gaps in KY Lake coverage on 2007 Navionics east chip?

My 2007 Navionics East chip has some blank spots in coverage for KY Lake.

One large blank spot occurs along the main ledge north of Pisgah Bay and another along the secondary channel near the Girl Scout Neck, just south of Birmingham Point. There are probably others

Does anyone know if more recent versions of the Navionics East coverage have correct this problem?

I have the 2007 chip and I fish that area quite a bit and haven't noticed missing data. I launch at Moss Creek during the summer and run the channel from Moss to Pisgah and points south, and across to Bear pretty regularly and haven't noticed any blank spots.

Can you post the coordinates and what unit you are using? I can fire mine up and see. Also, is the data missing at all zoom levels?

yes I have noticed that gap, there are numerous gaps on that chip. Most say the older chip is better than the newer. I like the newer one b/c it shows the subtle drops. They scanned the lake for that chip at winter pool, so any bays that has very shallow mouths (i.e. south barkley) are not covered on the chip. Also, any winter wildlife refuges are not on the chip (rushing bay) because of the off limits during the winter months. There are gaps in the new chip that the older chip did not have. You may want to find an older chip and compare the two to see which you like better.

You are right about new versus old.

I have a 2006 Navionics East chip that more fully covers the back end of bays and does not have the high definintion coverage that was first available on the 2007 chip.

Funny thing is that I emailed navionics the pictures of the gaps that I had found and they said that there must have been shallow water at the time. I pointed out that the gap north of Pisgah Bay went clear across the main lake.

They never got back to me on that one.

Here is a photo of the gap near the Girl Scout Camp Neck that I made a year or so ago and sent to Navionics

One would think that as popular as KY Lake is, they would do a better job with it.
