Well I figured out that anyone struggling to catch greenfish needs to put a bottom bouncer with a spinner rig on. You'll get a limit in about 15 minutes.never caught a single walleye but we caught about 20 largemouth and 10-15 white bass. I guess I need a little more practice at this.
Were you trolling? How deep? What are the temps right now downthere? Those fish have got to be deep. I always thought thsat guys who fished a little deeper than normal would do well down there. I am suprised that you didn't caych any spots. there have to be giant spots in there after all these years.
We were trolling spinner rigs, jigs tipped with minnows and cranks everywhere from 10-25 ft. Then once it got dark we put some nulcear floating lights out and fished minnows and spoons. Temps were in the low 90's depending on where you were and we fished from the big island up river to about Pine Springs. I was pretty suprised we didn't catch any spots too. The places we were told to try sounded like spot heaven but we didn't get a one. Never caught a single fish once it got dark too.
