    Oil issue

I"m back with another question, I had a problem with the engine oil(07 225PRO XS) transfering from the large tank to the small. Just got boat back from the repair shop, they put a new in- line oil filer(little small one by the small tank), also clean the the pick up tube inside the large tank. The Tech.(Mer. Cert.) said that it checked out fine and good to go. I ran the boat this moring and it ran fine, but about 5 minutes from the landing I noticed the smart craft gauge had the bell symbol(top right corner) flashing and bottom right corner(looks like a little oil can or motor) was flashing also. The alarm did not sound off. The last time this happened the alarm did start alarming, but I ran it longer. Should they be flashing or not? Do they need to be reset? Where they reset when in shop, not sure. Motor ran fine but I did kill the engine. Just wondering if I would have had time to run it longer would the alarm went off and shut down the motor like this happened the last time. Total run time today was about 30 minutes. Thanks for any info., might be back to the shop in the morning. Mike

    Re: Oil issue (TritonGold)

Alarm icons do not need to be reset- they're an indication that a problem existed at the time they were flashing.

I'd take it back in.... and have them check it.

BTW: Proper bleeding technique (to remove air from the engine mounted oil tank):
