My future brother in law and I broke the new boat in right today. We caught between 75-100 sauger.They were mostly dinks but we brought home 2 pretty good limits. FISH FRY TOMORROW!!
I also caught a awesome river smallie at 18" and pushing 4 pounds. He was super thick and fat.

Sounds like you had a ball. Did that 18" river smallie put up a hard fight I know most smallies that live in river current can be mean at times.
I would like to see those pictures but when I clicked on that link a message popped up that I was not authorized to enter that site. Anybody else have trouble viewing the pictures?

Really the smallie didn't fight to hard. He was too cold!!He came up to the top and started flopping/rolling and I started yelling for the net!!
A soon as he hit the net he broke off and the jig popped out of his mouth. I was lucky!!

Actually the river is up quite a bit and I found all of those fish stacked in a little ditch/creek. Usually when the water is at pool it doesn't hardly have any water in it. But it had 14 feet in it today and it was almost every cast you would get a bite for a long time.
Gotta love that. Maybe you can guide me one day out there

Yeah I was really suprised when I got him up to the top. I have never seen a smallie that big on the river around here.
PS I just got done eating those sauger, and they were GOOD!!
