Trailer brake help

Just got home from picking up my "new to me" boat. It's a Ranger w/ disc brakes. When I got it backed into my garage, I could smell the brakes from the trailer. Looked at the wheels and there was grease all over them. Wheels were hot to the touch. Upon further inspection, i figured out that the lockout key was put in front of the washer instead of behind like it is supposed to. I talked to the previous owner and he agreed that is what is what the problem is/was. Anyway, what type of damage has been done, and what do I need to do now to remedy the situation? Thanks

you would probably be wise to go ahead and put new bearings,seals and races in.if it got blazin hot check your brake pads because sometimes they can crystalize and lose effectiveness.when you pack your bearings be sure and use grease compatible with disk brakes.
