10/22 Ruger

i'm thinking about turning 1 of my 10/22 rugers into a Tactical Rifle .. has anyone done this before ??

This is JMO. Tactical weapons configurations are useless unless you are going to be in tactical situations. Are you going to shoot some small bore tactical rifle challenges or 3 gun shoots. I would much rather do upgrades to enhance its accuracy.
Of course you did say 1 of my 10/22 rugers . So if you have several and they are accurized to the hilt then turning one into a TACTICAL version would be something different.

I haven't but it's a good platform to use for it. Changing barrels, stocks, trigger groups.....is crazy simple.

I changed the barrel and stock on them before and it was a 10 minute job.

i'm thinkg of Getting a AR15 Stock and droping the action into it for back Yard playing

Melvin I have done it also, as Adam said its real easy to do. As you know they are a fun gun shoot, I enjoy changing things up on it and other guns I have. When you get it complete hit us up with some pics, I really would like to see what it looks like when your done

my brother did a 10/22 with a synthetic stock, heavy barrel, 50mm scope. it was a tack driver at a little over 100 yards. so much fun.

Sounds like fun....I have a Rem 597 VST...tricked the plinker out with scope and added sling and have extra 30 shot mags...I can shoot 500 LR-HP rounds for peanuts...
