Hey Don, is it normal for some water to discharge inside the cowling coming from the power head exhaust. The water is very warm the the touch and i can see it being discharged from the bottom of the power head in the very bottom section of the cowling area where the power head bolts to the mid section. Thanks for any info.

It's not normal to have water coming from the powerhead at all. Definitely
sounds like you need a new gasket...or the powerhead bolt/nuts aren't tight.

If you can take the upper and lower cowlings off and run with wter "ears" you have a good chance of pinpointing the source of the leak.
Could be a water line, poppet valve gasket, etc, etc.
So many honey-dos . . . . . so little motivation
No, this is NOT normal, and the source of this leak needs to be located/addressed.
Could be powerhead gasket, various hoses, thermostat covers, poppet valve, or even the idle-relief exhaust boot (torn or cracked).
