1 have a 1998 200 rude vindicator,the engine now smokes likes crazy.on the first start up i cant even see the sky there is so much smoke. engine has 785 hrs on it.is it time for a rebuild or is there something else that i can do

You may want to post this in the Evinrude/Johnson forum. Have you tried sea-foam or a similar product to try and decarb?

The oil pump on my old 200 Venonm went bad once and was pumping way too much oil. Looked like a blue comet had gone down the lake.
They will smoke a fair bit on start up because the gas evaporates out of the fuel that is in the crankcase when you shut it off. It takes a few seconds to burn it out.
