455kHz versus 800kHz Side Imaging - Rock Quarry

Here's a neat image of Old Rock Quarry with 455kHz and 800 kHz scanned they were scanned in opposite directions ( so I flipped image) but good comparison of detail differences.

    455 kHz

    800 kHz

Sadly, some of us don't get a choice...

I'm lucky I get 455 khz. Nice pics Doug!

Re: 455kHz versus 800kHz Side Imaging - Rock Quarry (cbergm7210)

I use 455kHz 90% of the time because it has a great coverage area 180° and the 800kHz is more downward focused and 110° coverage. I use 800kHz when I want to learn more what I find with 455kHz. To me it's about finding the fish and structure and then if I need more information use the 800kHz. To me coverage area is the most critical aspect to finding and locating fish and structure.

Did you make any other enhancement adjustments other than just changing to 800khz?

    Re: (onebadcat)

This was just switching between the frequencies not sensitivity or SI enhance functions changed.
