    D.O.T. reflective tape

I have added extra reflectivity to my boat trailer with the same reflective tape you see on semi trucks. This tape is D.O.T. approved and rated. It is as bright as lights when vehicle lights hit it. It is pricey at roughly $1 per foot, but well worth the investment. I think it has a great advantage of visibility for those boat owners who have no other option to park their rigs except next to or close to a public street. Many people who live on lakefront property quite often have little distance between the house or cottage and the public street.

Additionally, it helps illuminate your rig while parked at certain campgrounds that have poor or no lighting. I have experienced this at numerous campgrounds or hotel/motels.

I got mine at a semi truck supply outlet. You can also find it at most any truck stop that sells trucker's supplies, ie: CB radios, tie down straps, etc. I am sure it is available on-line somewhere. If you have a larger truck stop in your area, I would check there first.
