Anybody know a good way to shine these things up? Used black magic the other night, seemed to clean them, but i'm looking for a shine.

Well you can use a buffer with metal polish OR do it by hand. You should be able to find everything you need at a parts store.

lowes sells a diamond plate tool box polish and cleaner that works great.cleans and leaves a good shine.doesnt take alot of it.i use it on alluminum rims and the diamond plate steps on my triton.truck parts stores sell same thing.the one at lowes is diamond brite..
Thanks. Wonder if it would work on uncoated aluminum wheels?
my service truck has uncoated aluminum rims and thats what makes them shine.i use a rag and just rub it.itll turn black colored then just wipe off and buff.does great.
I've tried every polish known to man for Aluminum and I'll go with GORD's Polish everytime. I've got diamond plate aluminum fenders on my tandem axle trailer, this stuff works wonders with little to no effort at all. It's available on line, just type in Gords Polish...................
