    re-wiring question

As i am restoring my bayliner 1710 trophy, i want to replace all the wires just to be safe.Is it ok to use larger gauge wire then what is there for the acc's.

I have a ton of 12 gauge wire and all the wire on the boat is 14 and 16 gauge wire.

I am referring to the bilge bump,live-well,lights,horn,etc.I will still use the same fuse's that are recommended

    Thanks

    Rich
