    1998 Nitro 700LX??

I just bought a 1998 Nitro 700LX. I want to replace the seats on her due to the faded material caused by the sun. Everywhere I look, there doesn't seem to be the same type of seats on my boat. I'm currently in Iraq right now and won't be home until later this month. Any ideas on where to find good quality seats that are compatable with this boat? Thanks.

Look at the boat seat store seats.400.00 deleivered for a pair of buckets and a center jump seat with the mounting hardware to match. If you cannot get a 61" seat in the boat they have the seats with a center step and also just the 2 seats. I have a set and there are a lot of other people here on BBC that have the same seats and everybody loves them.

    Re: 1998 Nitro 700LX?? (Angler-Hi)

Well, I put my boat in the water today for the first time, with a buddy who was familiar with boats. A few problems though...

I noticed that the trim switch wasn't working due to a loose connection at the battery...fixed.

Turning left is hard to do, even when cruising. It's a bit hard to turn the wheel left. I don't know why or what to look at.

Also, all of my gauges on my boat, except the RPM gauge was glitching. The needles were jumping all over the place for the entire time the boat was out there.

I have a question about the trolling motor. Is the shaft of the trolling motor supposed to spin freely? I went to pull on the line to put my trolling motor in the water and the shaft turned a bit and I had to grab the prop and turn it because it was hitting the top of my boat. If this is normal, then how am I supposed to know which way my prop is facing when in the water. I need help!!!!! Thanks guys.

Trolling motor is normal.. Use your foot pedal to turn the prop so you can put it down safely

Thanks Ray!! I got it figured out...they make it look so easy on the fishing shows, lol. Of course, it's very easy as soon as you know what you're doing, lol.

You wouldn't happen to know what would be causing my steering to the left to be harder than the steering to the right would you? When I turn the wheel to the right, it's easy. But when I go to turn the wheel left, it takes a bit more muscle.

Most likely due to torque created by the prop. (The prop spins to the right, making it more difficult to turn to the left.) A torque tab might help

Thank friend....is that the same thing as a trim tab? If not, I'm not real clear what I'm looking at with that drawing. How does that work and where does it get installed at? Thanks.
