1970 bass boat new floor

got me a 1970 bomber style bass boat for some reason i like these old boats. i have has 3 of them so far. every one the deck/ floor is shot rotted ply under glass . water logged foam flotation. this boat still had stick steering that was in extremely bad shape. the engine is a 1968 johnson 33 hp a 1971 trailer. very old school. have a few pic's of how it looked when i got it home. and now has the decl/ floor/ foam removed .stringer will be replaced and the only bulkhead replaced. this is my $100.00 boat, trailer, motor, motor guide dura amp bow mount TM . i will show progress pic' as i go along. i know some will care less about this boat but some might. i like it so i guess that matters most.i found a like new stick steering at a yard sale yesterday and a new 6 gal gas tank with omc fuel line fitting for $40.00 :) hope to have it done by late summer.

starting to rip out old floor and foam.

i like the two 7 foot long storage lockers one on the right is divided in half front half is a live well. has a drain plug on live well bottom and a over flow fitting on side of boat.

that should be a very easy floor job for you and with carpet it will look great! Do you have plans of tackling the finish?

not sure how i'm going to redo the inside. i think i might go to a auto paint store to see if i can match the finish color . it's a speckle painted original finish it hot cars trunks were painted on the inside in the 60's and 70's white and green. specks. there was no original carpeting in the boat . and i'm not sure if i even want any carpeting . the outside of the hull was green jell coat and for some reason it was painted over with ugly green porch type paint . not sure if i can rub off that paint or not hope so. i'm kind of wanting to keep it as it looked back in 1970 my johnson 33 hp is a 1968 even has the dual lever control box . now if i could find a old Rebel trolling motor hahaha . oh need a blue jump suit also. got my lew's reel but for now i will be using my omc trolling motor.
