    Jack plate set up question

I do not currently have a jack plate on my 1989 champion, but I was thinking of installing one. Will I need to go with hydaulic steering as it seems like the steering cables will be in a bind if they are moved back to accommodate the plate. There really isn't much space from where the cables come out of the rear hull and the motor.

You'll be able to run a 6" rapid jack without issues.
