When I got my 08 250 pro xs I used optimax oil because I listened to someone rather than my owners manualNow I'm wondering should I continue to use it or switch to premium plus like the manual says? Also if I switch what is the correct way? I hear you shouldn't mix the 2 oils. Thanks
I would change to the premium plus like the manual says, just get the boat reserve tank down realllll low and then add the other oil.
Switch immediately. No "compatibility problems" between the two oils.
However, your engine was designed for, and intended to be used with, the Premium PLUS oil.
