Will be fishing the TBF Buddy Tx. on Oneida this Sunday.We will be at Oneida Shores in a tent .We are taking my partners boat [a white ,black and diamond dust 21 i Skeeter ] and pulling it with a white Suburban.We will arrive Sat early afternoon.If anyones in the area stop bye for a visit.

I'm Oneida bound for the weekend starting tomorrow afternoon. Crashin' my buddies family place there just W of Big Bay. Will be out early and late with the pole while the fam sleeps, and mid-day draggin the wee one around on the tube. say 'hi' if you see me and motor up for a bev. Tan/white Nitro F/S 135 Opti

Sadly didn't get in as much fishing as I planned-just a few hours each day while the fam slept. Had the family not come along, it would have been just sleep (a little) and fish, and not in that order of priority! But had to keep the rest of 'em happy.

All our fishing was on the east end of the lake. Picked up a nice LM around midnight on a topwater in a small shallow bay on the N side (about 4 FOW) and a 2 lb SM that fought a lot bigger in 12 FOW off the point adjacent to Big Bay early AM.

We mixed it up a lot (trying for 'eyes LM SM Pike) and never really concentrated on anything in particular which isn't a great strategy to put more in the boat, but didn't seem like anyone was doing really well anyway. boats were stacked up around the dropoffs near Frenchmans both mornings (a PA Fed tournament as I recall and others too) and no one had much luck there. Saw a ton of fish feeding topwater around 7-8 AM between the 2 islands along the weedline this AM(some pretty massive ones too) but couldn't give 'em what they wanted before we got blown off the water for the day by the storm.

Oh well 1st 'real' time on Oneida for me, and not used to such a shallow lake but learned a lot about it for next time- (was told the bite is better on east end, but not enough time to meaningfully get over there ) and learned the hard way that the tiiiny bouys-that-you-dont-see-until-its-too-late are where the sunken islands are no major damage- The prop is being replaced next week any way the previous owner of the boat must have been blind also.

Between jobs next week, so it will be serious fishin time then...
