Big Bay ramp, follow the road to Campbell Point, turn left at big creek/big bay public use area. Or, the Shell Knob ramp , first right past the bridge.
Fish in big creek, drag grubs, jerks, cranks. Or, hit southwest facing primary and secondary points along shell knob area into Mill creek area.
Steve will be along, Guru for that area, analyze his photos closely.....
Oh yeah, those grubs look awful familiar.

There are a lot of areas on the lake that start heating up, as far as bass fishing is concerned, long before Big Creek does. January would be best spent on the north banks,
with maximum exposure to the sun, somewhere out on the main lake. From Baxter to
the mouth of Big Creek there are lots of points and pockets that will pay off for the "run
'n gunners" that don't mind making 15-20 casts with a lucky craft pointer before moving
on to the next spot. If you would rather camp a while, run around to the other side of
Campbell Point and stitch a grub in 18-30 feet of water on the gravel between Basin Hollow
and Hardman. Again, the north side is usually better, but I have had trips where the
shady side between Troy Mill Creek and Hardman paid BIG. The bluff pocket points on the
north side will usually produce at least one big largemouth to cap off the day. You may
have to hit 5 or 6 spots, or more, to get bit, but it will be worth it if he's there. If you want
any more specific info, shoot me an IM or an E-mail.

Hey Merc getting old and retired has some benefits. I truly didn't know if I could do retirement after working all my life, but I kinda changed jobs now I get to fish when I want as long as I get my home projects done. If I stay healthy this retirement is great.
