    Daiwa reel service?

I think it is time to service my Daiwa spinning reel. It is Ballistic FW 2500C-S, anyone have recommendations who to send to. and how much the cost?
I service my own baitcaster reels but don’t have good experience with spinning reel. I tired a few spinning reels I. The past but feel like they are not as smooth after put back together.

Magsealed spinning reels aren’t serviceable, even if you try to send it to Daiwa. If it isn’t broken leave it alone. I’ve got Ballistics going back to the first gen and never had an issue with any of them. When you say you think it’s time, is there something wrong with it? You just don’t “service” magsealed reels.

I was holding off on this rec., since you are out in Cali...but Nutter Rod and Reel did an excellent job on my 2013 Daiwa Certate 2510R-PE last year. I think the service was $30 + shipping.

Of course they’re serviceable. Unfortunately though, the monocoque reels need a special tool to open up (easily available from Hedgehog or Ali Express sources). Daiwa does not sell magnetic oil to the general public, but third party brands are available. I’ve stayed with magnetic, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work with regular oil (not as intended, but functionally, why not?). Opening up a modern spinning reel may not be for the meek though.

Thanks guys, ended up I service my own. Email Daiwa but never get response, I have tool to remove MQ Daiwa side plate for my Tatula MQ, but this reel doesn’t need one, no Magseal need either(wait until I service my Fuego Lt). I’m not completely noob did a few small service on other Daiwa and shimano spinning reels just don’t have enough confidence for a full tear down without missing any shims. I hate washer shims on Spinning reels, there are too many and if you don’t know where they go, you are in trouble. I guess why my Shimano ci4 never as smooth lol.

Kool...and yes, when servicing your own, it absolutely helps to NOT have MQ and MagSeal (although as previously stated, you can replace with standard oil/grease).
