    Bass lying

I just seen a post about bass lying about voting on using ffs during the 2025 season. Seems the majority of anglers do not want it but bass went along with it anyway and said the anglers voted for it. Seems Garmin paid them a lot of money to do that. If bass would lie about that what else would they lie about? Makes suspensions and people quitting and retiring a bit suspicious. I believe that organization needs a fisherman to run it and look at anglers for a solution. It is a sad state bass is in.

First lie, ever, in the world of fishing. Crazy it took this long.

    Downright amazing!
There's lots of decaffeinated brands that are just as tasty as the real thing.

They knew this would cause issues so why ask a question you don’t want to know the answer too?

Personally I think the only reason they asked the anglers was to get a bigger payout from the manufacturers

Yes I said manufacturers you think Garmin is the only company with a dog in this race?

You can bet pulling FFS would cause a lot of grief and loss of revenue from companies that are pushing FFS systems and products made for FFS but to say make it worth our while and we will keep it can generate a lot more

There are plenty of rules in all sports competitors don’t like and many change the way the game is played and who wins this sport is no different

And having a fisherman run the organization has worked well for MLF

A business centered around Tournament Fishing that is mostly dependent on revenue from Sponsors, Host Communities, Advertisements sold on their live streaming and limited network exposure isn’t in a position to bully any big sponsors around.

The hiring of a Tournament Fisherman who is also dependent on Sponsors or a subsidy from his wife’s medical or legal practice sure isn’t a viable solution.

There aren’t business investors waiting in line to own and operate a Professional Fishing Organization so get used to the present day status quo.

Didn't someone already post this like a week ago? The same thread that said someone was going to have to sit out day one for talking about it? I don't think that happened and weren't there some credibility issues associated with this whole report? Hard to keep track of rumors, they keep coming back.

The hint of quiet shady business dealings causes me to wonder whether I should sell all my fishing items or go fishing.

Ultimately, the anglers aren’t even employees, they’re independent contractors.

Sponsorship money allows them to fish. Since it’s the call of BASS management as to what direction the company goes/what rules are implemented, the anglers don’t have much say.

If they don’t like the rules there, they’re more than welcome to fish elsewhere.

There are hundreds of guys willing to risk bankruptcy who’ll gladly take their spot.

It definitely happens in ALL of professional sports. Without these sponsors and TV deals then the organization doesn't exist. If these guys don't like the rules then I guess they can go to the NPFL and use a Humminbird 360 (forward facing of course but their only major sponsor.....)

Lying is tied to advertiser influence on all of our heritage media sites also, in case you haven't figured that out yet.

The point is, if you ask your people if they want a piece of equipment or not and they say no, you should honor that or don't ask the question. It shows you the moral make up and character of those running the organization. It says, they are not so honorable.

Bass has proven time and time and time again, they do not care what ANYONE thinks, and they will go ahead with whatever they feel is best for them, not anyone else. Just look at the number of anglers that left bass for bpt, vs the number of anglers that left bpt for bass.
