The two idiots could have killed somebody.
No different than stopping on a major 70 mph highway.
    Same exact thing.

What about a engine, spun prop, etc. problem. That's how the big NASCAR wrecks happen on re-starts.

All were idiots. You got 70mph bass boat coming up behind you headed the same way and you shut down in front of them? Stupid move on his part and the other 2

Hell, I was at Dale Hollow and my boater stopped about 1/4 mile after launch, in a thunderstorm, we were boat number #2. Took my Save Phace off and he said we’re ok and proceeded to move gear from front to the back, then took off again. Few minutes later he hits my knee and points at the graph…81mph. Rule #1…dont kill me! Here’s your sign!

Gotta keep your head on a swivel out there. Especially when the lakes are full of Ricky Bobby's that wanna go fast.

Absolutely no reason you should be running over the back of someone.

I think that traditionally that is considered a bad spot to set it down, but IMO it would be better to consider that the boat following did not give himself proper room to react to the boater in front. Sure, this was an intentional stop. What about unintentional stops? This isn't the same as stopping on the interstate IMO. This would be more similar to just taking your foot off the gas and coasting down on an interstate. It wasn't a suddent stop.

Several things in that video that should not have happened. Those idiots should be thanking God they are not dead or maimed for life.

Bass Boats don't have brakes and other's not paying attention leads to bad results.

Being familiar w/ Toho ….that does not appear to be near blast off……nor were they in the marked channel. I believe they were probably South of Makinsom Island.

IMHO the idiots that almost ran them over were 100 % at fault.

Personally, I check behind me…..and try to set down as far from boat traffic as prudent….because I’ve almost been run over a couple times when I was within 20’ of a cedar tree bank.

Guys almost get run over, and the response is "don't stop there"? See, we have big problems.

while not a place i would want to stop... i have no idea why guys follow directly behind another boat so close with posibilites of something happening, them stopping, motor issues, slow down to turn etc etc.. .. i always like to keep more then enough distance where i know i am not going to be in a situation like that
