Almost a month past the time I spoke to my PCP about this obvious hernia I have and requested a referral to a surgeon, I am finally going to be on the table. I have experienced the indignities of having three different men examine my privates and the surrounding areas...a very rough and painful ultrasound scan, a CT, an EKG for cardiac approval, and a very through probing and exam by the surgeon. It "should be" an easy laparoscopic surgery UNLESS scar tissue from my old appendectomy causes trouble...then it will turn into an open incision. 5:30am check in time will be like waking up for summer fishing...getting my sleeping beauty wife out of bed to escort me will be the hardest part.![]()
Hoping to be on the water by the end of the month. Just hope the bass I catch isn't over my weight lifting limit. Still looking for my first 10 pounder. Raising and lowering my 10 ton Ultrex will be the challenge.
I asked my best buddy if he had bought flowers for me yet....he said he was waiting to see if I made it or not....always good to have friends.
Wish me luck.
