We fished the Blazer Owner tournament out of Pell Cit Park Saturday. The first place we pulled up on had shad all over it and the spots killed a blade real good. We caught a limit in the first 10 min. One of the spots was a good 3# but the others were just 1 1/2#. We went to some other places down river catching 10 to 15 fish on the river but never helping the weight. About 8am we went way up the river until we found some dingy water and started catching them on a jig and blade. Several big fish would come out on the blade and roll on it and we would miss um. Latter on during the day the bigger fish started eating the jig. We caught fish on a blade, top water, crank bait and a jig. We may have caught 35 to 40 fish. Out of the 5 we weighed in 4 on a jig 1 on a spinner bait. The fish really bit all day and the wind blew so it was not to hot. We had 17.39 pounds for 4th place with a little over 20 pounds winning. If I was going today I’d throw a jig all day in some dingy water. Grammer Marine hosted this tournament and it was a well run tournament. Thanks Mr. Grammer!
