    painting !!!

When you guys paint a bait , do you mix you Createx paint with anything or just put it straight into the airbrush. I have a Iwatta eclipse and a Iwatta silver jett for a compressor. One more question , after base coating a bait white for the first time, do you just clean the brush out before adding another color ? I am a first time painter.

    Thanks

    Re: painting !!!

You'll have to experiment to find what works best, and no two bottles of paint will be the same. When I thin Createx, I always do so with the paint in the airbrush bowl; I never thin the entire bottle at once. I use plastic pipettes to measure a drop or two of water into the paint, and then back-flush the airbrush to mix the water and paint.

You'll definitely want to rinse out the paint bowl after every color, or the new color and the residue from the old color will mix. I use a plastic spray bottle to spray out the airbrush bowl a couple times, back-flush, empty the bowl, and repeat until the water comes out clear. It takes a little more time, but you'll end up with better results.

    I hope this helps.

I shoot the blank with satin white krylon fusion.
I then rough it with a scotch brite pad.
I have not had a need to thin Createx but they do
Sell a Createx reducer, not sure of the name. I've heard
Of folks thinning with future floor wax.

I shoot color then I spray a couple shots of windex
In the cup and then rinse and backflush with a little water.
I also keep an old t-shirt handy.

    Then add the next color.

It's when you put your finger over the tip of the airbrush and push down on the trigger. It "backflushes" back up into the bowl.

I thin Createx white about 40%. It is the thickest of all their colors. I would recommend trying about 25% and increase until you get the desired results.
