    high pressure fuel pump?

I have a 2001 200 optimax and have noticed that the high pressure pump kicks on when you turn the key and then quits...normally. Well i had it turn on and run instead of running a second and then quit just while the key is in the on position the motor is not cranked. Could it be a wet connection or is my pump starting to go out?

Sorry.... can you restate your question?

The fuel pump should start when the key is turned to the "on" position... and then turn off after approximately 2 seconds (unless the engine has been cranked or started, in which case, it will continue to run).

Suggest replacing the MPR (Main Power Relay). There are three relays located on the Starboard or Right side of the engine (down low). The MPR is the "furthest to the rear".
