Dripping lead will happen to most any pot. A couple of things you can do: use a screw driver and twist the plunger back and forth, take a propane torch and heat up the tip for a few seconds then open wide and let some lead out, keep plenty of lead in the pot, flux often, stick an old spinnerbait wire up the hole to help open it.

Those are the things I do. Every now and then it gets bad and I have to drain it out and clean all the gunk out of the nipple and off the plunger, then start over.

Nature of the beast I have 2 pots beside the tips mentioned unscrew the handle knob and slide 2 1oz teardrop sinkers on the shaft and put your knob back on. The extra weight help the plunger seat a little tighter. It wont eliminate it completly but it will help.

Is it only dripping when you first fire it up? Or, does it drip all through the pour. Mine drips after I turn it on. I use a piece of wire and run it up through the tip to clean it out when it's hot. It doesn't leak after that.

Never use dirty lead like wheel weights unless you ladle pour. This will contribute to leaky bottom pouring pots. Some leaking is the nature of the beast.

Lee Pots are notorious for dripping. Take a big pair of chan-l-locks and clamp them to the top of the rod plugging the spout. That will give plenty of downward pressure and should slow down, if not stop, dripping. I gave up on Lee a long time ago and use a magma 40 lb'er but I cast a lot of bullets, too.

I use a heavy paper clip...bend it in a hook (so you don't burn your self) open the plunger and ream it out a bit. BE CAREFUL...that should stop it.
