    repainting

    i know this has been posted before but i cant find it. how do you guys prep painted and clearcoated crankbaits. thanks

    I just scuff them up with a scotch brite pad.

    I use real find sand paper
    Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

    just take the clearcoat down and use paint as a base?

    I probably do more than I need to but I sand em all the way down to the body. I figure that way when I repaint and clearcoat I shouldnt be adding too much more weight to the bait from the original
