Re: wood crankbait hook hangers (kbkindle)

KB if you want to go stainless steel probably the easiest way I have seen is go to the hardware store and buy some s.s. cotter pins. However most people prefer the brass wire as it is a little easier to work with, I twist mine while some prefer a solid harness. Done properly I havent had a twist fail yet
I buy my brass wire at http://www.mcmaster.com/ a 1/4 spool of .032 wire is 6 bucks plus shipping, that will last awhile

Re: wood crankbait hook hangers (Ky 521)

I use the same brass wire as Stacey for my line ties, but I use SS Tig welding wire for hook hangers (I can get it cheaper) and twist them up, but @ the end I fold the ends back to make a small pair of barbs just to give it a little extra (that's probably over-kill actually )
