I am fishing a tournament on ohio river in Oct. My question is do river fish transition the same as lake fisk? Would main river be better place to start than creeks etc??

I agree with Joseph, find the bait. Current is important also; look for the current breaks and eddys that hold bait. I try to always present my bait with the current.
