    Living rubber???

It is my understanding that living rubber is no longer available.. I see some round stuff and tons of silicone. I have seen a little bit of the flat living rubber in fly shops. Is it true that you cant get it anymore? I haven't tied my own jigs for a while now and was going through my stuff and found a little stash of it..I usually mixed the living rubber and a little silicone... thanks

As far as I know there has been no new flat rubber for at least a couple of years.

He is probably looking for the brown flat rubber? That stuff goes for serious money on ebay. I have about a pound each of the brown and black that I may use? That stuff is a PITA to work with so I use silicone most of the time.

yeah its the flat stuff. I have roughly 30-40 ft lengths of the stuff in brown, black, red, and some olive. It is a pain to work with but I like my jigs tied with it. thanks

The flat stuff will go bad and stick together so it becomes unuseable. One of my buds had 10 pounds of it ruin while setting around in his bait making room.
