    XTOOLS fish scales

I am in the market of buying a new scale. Can anyone tell me the difference between the GripNWeigh and the GripNWeigh Proseries? From reading the info on their site they both do the same functions???

These scales and accessories work well?

    Thanks!

The pro series has the cull function that the regular scales do not....I think thats the only difference. I just bought the pro and have only used it once but it seems to do well.

Proseries with the cull function is what I have and I love it when I do make it to culling time (not terribly often).
    Couple of things to remember:
    1. Keep the quick reference card handy with the scale. I'm always forgetting how to reset the weight total.

    2. Pay close attention to how you put the clip on the fish's lip. Many people just cut off the plastic clip and snap on a metal clip from an old-style stringer to hold onto the fish. I haven't had any issues with the plastic clip coming undone, but one side of the clip is larger than the other and needs to go inside the bass's mouth. The smaller side of the clip wedges between the gill flaps. If you put it on wrong, it will come out.
