What line size do ya'll use when fishing smaller jigs? While pitching around docks.

If fishing around cover I'll use 15lb flouro. Just casting around points and drops and such I'll use either 10 or 12 depending on how clear the water is.
yep, 15lb seaguar most of the time....will go to 10lb in really clear or cold water .

At night in the summer I throw an 1/8 oz hair jig with a big Zoom chunk on 17lb mono. It makes it fall real real slow. I'll pitch docks with the same set up in the day in stained water too. Works good.
I guess it would depend on the dock and water color. On Table Rock, 10 lb fluorocarbon for Eakins style jigs is pretty much standard, football jigs usually get 12 or 15. On Lake of the Ozarks, you can fish heavier line to fish docks 15 lb test and up.
i normally use 12-14 lb Floro for about all of my jig fishing
Do they make fluorocarbon smaller than 15lb. test?![]()

Thanks! I was thinking mono but sounds like fluoro is the way to go.
I started using Yo-Surie 8# last year and it is super. The line is mono in the center then it coated twice with Floracarbon. The line is very limp, works great on spinning reels and hard to nick.![]()

I had a lot of line twist and breaks with the Yozuri 8#on my shaky head.
SUNLINE in 8# works for me. BEST flouro I ever used.
