    Ledge Fishing with GPS

I'm getting into Ledge fishing and deep water fishing, but what's the best way to find the spots to fish on your gps. I get the waypoints plotted before I go to the lake, and then whats the best way to fish the exact point or ledge you marked on the gps? That may sound kinda confusing, but i've had trouble in the past with staying right on the underwater point, ledge or hump. I use the GPS on my console to navigate so I don't have a gps/sonar combo on the bow. What's the easiest way to stay on that waypoint the whole time and check to see if it's productive?

I'm not quite following what you are asking, but why not use marker bouys after you locate the structure with the depth finder?

It would be hard to mark the exact spot you want to fish without being on the water in my honest opinion. You could mark an area at at home, then search it out with the depth finder, and when you find the spot throw a bouy over and fish.

Same here. Drop the Marker Bouy as I pass by at slow speed and than drift boat far away letting it settle down {Fish I mean}. Move in with the TM slowly but surely. IF they are school up there, you will KISS the Marker at the end of the day
