    First visit to Buc ees

New one in Richmond Ky. Wow is that place crowded. I thought the Brisket sandwich was very good. There must have been 150 pumps.

And not a single one of the 150 that you can clean your windshield at.

Very clean. The jerky is good. Salary and benefit packages look pretty darn good, BUT it’s still just a big gas station.

A "cult" built on cheap ice and clean restrooms. A true American success story even though Mr. Aplin's an Aggie... He knew! I never pass one without stopping...

With so many opening outside of Texas now I hope they don't lose their Texas heritage and the fun, campy atmosphere. Too many "serious" stores out there. I enjoy stopping in a place where the employees are friendly, happy and having fun.
Hopefully all the grumpy folks will pass them on by.....

I’m going to have to give that one a try as I like the Bbq Turkey sandwich. Also the chocolate covered pecans are pretty good too for desert.

Went to my first one this week too. Wow, crazy for a gas station. Brisket taco for breakfast was better than 80% of bbq places I've been. As mentioned the jerky is pretty darn good---garlic one was our favorite. Super clean bathrooms and individual walled stalls is pretty impressive again for a gas station. They have a little bit of everything from home decor, hunting stuff, grills, clothes, etc. Overall I was impressed.

We've been to the one in Robertsdale, last week we checked out the new one in Auburn. It's nice. Got a brisket sammich and homemade chips. My only complaint...they don't have anywhere to sit down and eat. I guess they figure everyone is on the go, but there were several folks in the parking lot like us eating lunch in their vehicle.

Where in the store are those pecans located? I want to try them the next time I go.
