if you have fat shaft or no taper on shaft where it comes out of the gearcase it only uses a spacer two washers and nut all go on after prop washers and nut keep it tight.washer go in specific order and tourque to work correctly.

Spacer, thin washer, then medium washer. Install the locknut and torque to 55 ft. lbs.

how many times can you reuse the locknut? had someone tell me to change it out after every 4 or 5 times you remove the prop to make sure the nylon does its job locking it down.

Don't know that I've ever seen a "spec" on how many times it can be re-used. I'd say "five" (5) is a "safe bet".

Don, If five is the limit, then you had better order Terry a couple dozen. While your at it, I better get two

Yours and Terry's get checked pretty regularly.... at least every time I service it.

You CAN use a propnut dozens of times... of course, but for your "average person" (not knowing the "feel" of the nut and that the nylon lock is worn), I'd recommend "five" as the safe measure.
