    Question Splitting 95 181

The process of rebuilding my 181 has begun. I値l have the top cap free of the hull in the next few days. Looking for any ideas on the best place to lift the top cap. I知 thinking up front I値l lift from the recess trolling pedal hole in the deck. In the back I know the cleats are a no go. Thinking maybe I値l lift from the brace in between the livewell doors?

Another question I知 going to need some help with is how much support the hull will need before removing the stringers and floor. If i have to remove the stingers and floor completely i know I値l need some support. If I知 lucky and still have good dry wood from the consoles forward will i still need support the hull more than the bunks on the trailer?

This is going to be a big project so I知 sure I値l be back with more questions and I値l definitely take a bunch of pictures along the way.

    Thanks for the help!

Run wire from side to side to keep them from splaying out.

The restoration pages may get you some good info for your question on removing the cap. Just so you know we like pics of a good restoration.

Might reach out to Matthew Snooks on Facebook. He worked at the Mtn Home factory and owns Fractures Fiberglass in Mtn home.
