Got out this afternoon on the Appomattox. Spend the first couple of hours fishing for largemouths and caught 10, biggest maybe 2 pound but most small. Last hour of the day decided I was going to try and catch some rockfish for the freezer. Hit the Route 10 bridge pilings with a big 3/4oz Red Eye Shad. No rockfish but did catch two largemouth that were over four pounds. Think I need to try and catch rockfish more often.

Just remember this day when you are tournament fishing and catch nothing but stripers.

Hope so, all told my best five would have gone around 13.5 to 14 pounds. Not bad for a fall day.
