James or chick results from last weekend

I fished 2 tournaments on the James (one on Fri 7/23, and the other on Sun 7/25)...everyone had a tuff time regardless of area fished...both days you could get some decent water / tide if you wanted it, and several went for it, with the results still being terrible. 7lbs won Friday, and 5lbs took first on Sunday in the events I was at. It was bad, with some folks indicating they never got a bite! Im aware there where a few other T's on the James and Chick on Sat and Sun...just wondering if anyone has any info on the weights / results? Thanks!

Jeff, Thursday night the 22nd on the Chick I believe 16 lbs won. Caught in three hours.

Yea...I saw that Sterling...16lbs is awsome, esp in 3 hours! After that it was down to 7 lbs and 4 lbs for 2nd and 3rd, which is more comparable to what I saw on Friday and Sunday.....

I fished the Pamunkey Mini Series on the James/Appomatox Rivers out of the Hopewell Landing on Sunday...weights 1st thru 6th were between a little over 9 lbs to around 5.5 lbs with a 4 fish limit. There were 30 boats and my partner and I managed 5th place with 6.5 lbs or so...

I heard that Kelly Pratt won the ABA on Chick Saturday with 19 lbs. .

Thanks for the info....tides where not that bad, looks like a few found them,but those weights (overall) seem a bit low to me. Tuff weekend I guess. Heat maybe?? (Other than Mr. Pratt...16lbs, wow, he is not human on the Chick...another league that guy is in!)

He live on that water (Kelly) he deserves everything he wins. Its only been a handfull of time that I have been to chick and Kelly wasnt there... He is the man..

Agreed...Kelly is not lucky...he earns it for sure.

Agreed kelly puts in the time. I remember one day during this summer. I saw him on the river early in the morning I came back to the ramp around 1pm to use the facilities and he was leaving. When i went to leave at 4pm he was coming back to put back in and fish to dark. one of the nicest guys i've had the privilege to know.
