I am open for trouble-shooting suggestions. This reliable motor is running 42.5 mph @ 4900 rpm. My Stratos 279v did 51-52 mph @ 5400-5500 rpm. My hole shot is good and my idle is good. The motor sounds right...no misses. What do you think?

I would take a look at the prop.
This is one suggestion. The motor does not vibrate at all. Prop appears fine. What is your reasoning?
A dinged prop would cause that. Next step would be to take a compression test and check plugs.
Great. I plan on ruling out things by putting on my spare prop first. It is good, just alluminum. At least I may get the desired RPM and It will tell me there is something less obvious wrong with my normal prop. Thanks! I will let you know how it goes in a week or so.
