Question 2014 Yamaha 250 SHO tilt and trim issues

    Good evening,

I am having issues with my tilt trim motor. 2014 VF250LA, 6CB, L, 1008345, A. It started to not want to go up, but went down perfectly fine using the engine switch, shifter switch, and the blinker switch. Then its stopped responding to all switches. The relay still clicks as if it is working, but nothing is moving. So I tried to bypass the switch by touching the blue to red and then the green to red with no movement. I then used a completely different battery and jumped the ground from the relay to the new battery and then the blue and then the green wire, still no movement. It leads me to believe the electric motor is bad. Can any one assist in my troubleshooting?

Or tell me the Part number for a new tilt electric motor? It has a four bolt pattern and two wires.

    Thanks in advance

    Dwayne

    Hey man
My motor went out on my 2010 SHO 225. Try to tap the motor with a wrench or hammer as you are bumping the switch on the cowl. I had to replace the motor. Had a repair shop order one for me, then I ordered two more off of amazon.
Amazon Search forCaltric Compatible with Tilt Trim Yamaha 67H-43880-03-00 67H-43880-10-00 67H-43880-00-00 10855

They might be cheap but would get you by while waiting for yamaha to have one sent to you.
