Question is there an advantage of running a map card in each unit HDS set-up

I'm running a 8" HDS up front Gen 2 and a 10" Gen 2 on the console with structure scan box and LSS2 and Point one is there any advantage of running a map card in both units or is one sufficient???

Only if you put one on standby, or need a card slot open for recording. I usually have a variety of map cards plus recording cards in mine.

Maps continue to share even on StandBy. I have a C-Map in one unit and Navionics in the other. I did go a long time with just one in the console unit. Can't see an advantage either way if you already own the map chips. Otherwise, 1 is more economical.
