I put in a new cam on the shifter and now the shifter will not go into reverse. I took it apart again to make sure everything lines up and it does. What could possibly be wrong?

The halfs go together in nuetral with the warmup lever up slightly. Was the motor in nuetral when you put the halfs together? Are you turning the prop when you are shifting the box? Be very carefull not to pinch any wires in the box, this is very easy to do.
got it all together this afternoon, didn't realize the e-clip came of the throttle cable when I replaced the shifter cam. Thanks!!!
