I havent been on much for awhile, I started a new Job and my Dad's been in and out of the hospital with several complications. He was diagnosed yesterday with a very advanced case of Renal Cell Carcinoma. He has a very large tumor on his right Kidney that has grown up through his vascular system (vena cova) into the right atrium of his heart. The prognosis is not good with surgery being the only option, kidney cancer does not respond to chemo or radiation very well. They have scheduled the surgery for next wednesday and have told us he has about a 50/50 chance of making it through surgery.
I am trying to be strong for my Dad and Mom as well as my wife and kids but I am having a really hard time accepting this may be the last few days with my Dad. He has been a huge influence in my life and has always been my hero. He taught me all I know about hunting and fishing and has given me some great life lessons. Please lift up some prayers for him when you have moment and I pray the big guy upstairs will give us some more time with the greatest man I know.
